We've been here since May of 2006 and we can't wait for our 2nd year lease to end. We moved here because they accepted large pets, it was only $419 for a one bedroom and the management was so friendly. After six months of moving in, a new management took over and it all went downhill from there. They put papers on your door about every month reminding us of the "rules" and doing apartment checks that clearly violate your rent agreement. They had to check all of the apartments two time in one month, one for "cleanliness" and on because investors wanted to check them out. Most residents were raged about the cleanliness check and we came extremely close to bringing a lawyer into this. The windows are old, leak and let in cool air. The walls are paper thin, the kitchen is the size of a mini closet, the stove doesn't work well if you're using the range at the same time and the fridge frosts. There is a wall unit air conditioner for one bedrooms and forget them making any difference in the summer. You'll probably turn right around when you meet the management as it is anyway. The rent it $100 more expensive that we moved in two years ago and it's clearly not worth it. Willow Lake Apartments are definitely not a place to call home.
