Never ever live here

The apartment looks great to the naked eye. Looks nice and all but it is the stuff that you cannot determine on a 5 minute walkthrough. These apartments are falling apart. When we moved in, we discovered we had a family of squirrels living in our walls. We called the maintenance several times and they eventually came a few weeks later and said they had to call an animal controll person to take care of it. So, the squirrels are gone an now there is still a fire hazard due to the chewed wires and rain water getting into them. We told them and they do not seem to care.
Also, our air does not work and it is 95 degrees out side and at least 90 in our aprtment (the thermastat only goes up to 90). We called them 5 straight days in a row and they seem to not care. I called the emergency hotline and they said it is not an emergency. The apartment is not livable when it is 90 inside. Try going to bed in that heat. The air also causes a leak in the bedroom when on and the ceiling is about ready to cave in. They obviously do not care about that either.
I recommend that if you need maintenance done, send it in ceritified mail so that when they do not respond in a few weeks you can take action and maybe even get out of your lease. If you are under lease right now, I feel sorry for you.
