I lived at Park Meadows for a year, and this was my first-ever apartment. I was prepared for a pretty bad place, but it's just ridiculous. The staff member who helped me lease knew almost nothing about the property. He couldn't answer my questions, nor could he give me any information without checking it with his boss first. But I didn't want to judge the apartment complex based on him.
Well, I moved in. The apartment wasn't even ready for me and my roommate. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and neither had the kitchen. The bedroom closests had holes and one was missing a door handle. The screen door onto the patio wasn't attached. We went through and made a list of over 30 items that needed to be fixed. We submitted it in November, and they only fixed 3 of the items, despite several calls and me requesting the service personally. Our apartment had 4 leaks, one from outside, three from the apartment above. The leak that comes in from outside has been called in several times, even to the 24-hour repair, and nothing has been done about it. Our wall is growing mold from it. Then, we couldn't wash any utensils until March because the dishwasher was missing the tray. We couldn't buy one because they are only available to be ordered from the manufacturer.
Then, the power went out, and they decided an adequete solution was to bascially take a giant extension cord and attach it to the building next to ours. This was quite clearly not a safe or legal solution, and yet it stayed that way for almost 2 months.
In closing, avoid this place if you can. I made a mistake in renting from here...don't make the same mistake.

As an employee of Park Meadows, I would like to respond to some of the above listed issues. I happen to be the employee who helped you. This happened to be during my first few weeks of employment at this new property, so in order to provide you with the best customer service possible, yes I did check with my bossto get you accurate information.
As for the electrical problems, please understand that this was not a "Park Meadows" issue. This was an Ameren UE problem. This is why there were several contractors out at several different times drilling into the ground, running new wire, etc. This was something we had no control over.
