Not Bad, Not Great...

Park Meadows is not all that bad honestly. We have had a few bumps, but nothing overwhelmingly horrible. Some issues we faced included:
- Being told at lease signing we paid everything we needed to. Three months later we were told it was added incorrectly and we still needed to pay $150.00 deposit.
- Last minute notification of parking lot pavement. If you were out of town, you're car got towed.
- Management changed hands at least twice, maybe even three times so far, in the two years we've been there.
Some of the pluses though within the last 8 months have been:
- Towed all cars without license plates - Really cleaned up the look of the parking lots.
- Re-carpeted and painted all entryways into the apartment buildings. We went from a nasty blue ocean theme to a clean cream and beige theme, with linolium on the first floor in front of the mail boxes.
Apartment-wise, we're on the first floor. The Bathroom tub enclosure is old and fragile, but it's being replaced in the next few weeks. We have no trim where the wall meets the carpet. Otherwise, it's just fine. After 2 years of living there we have had various maintenance issues but I consider them issues that you need to deal with over time. Things like the AC going out only once, the bathtub faucet wouldn't tightly turn off etc. In fact, when we moved in, we had a brand new remodeled kitchen with new Stove, dishwasher, and fridge. It also had new cabinets and new flooring. I won't lie, I think the apartment flooded at one point before we ever moved in, just from the odd things I've seen. Though in the 2 years we have lived there, the apartment has never flooded once.
The grounds themselves are pretty dark. You have decorative lamp posts around the clubhouse area, otherwise the sidewalks are completely dark, save for the street lights on the corners. Never had an issue with crime, and the walls are fairly thick. You can't hear much of anything from your neighbors.
Ultimately it's really not all that bad. If anything, i consider it to be a beginner apartment for those just moving out on their own for the first time. No place is perfect. then again, perfection is a matter of opinion.
