I was impressed when my husband and I first moved in. The ladies in the lease office were very nice. At first. Boy, that did not last very long.
We began having problems soon after we moved in. First, the fan in the bathroom began making awful grating noises any time we would turn it on. I called the lease office. A few days later, the maintainence person finally showed up. She said nothing was wrong with it, it just "needed lubrication." It wasn't more than a few weeks later it started acting up again. I just don't use it anymore, since they couldn't be bothered to fix it correctly in the first place.
We moved in at the beginning of summer. I know Missouri has its bugs, but good grief! My apartment was invaded. Spiders were plentiful. In one night, while I was sleeping, I got bitten three times on my ankle. The bites oozed for the next couple of weeks, despite assurances from my doctor that they were fine. I called the lease office to have someone come spray for bugs. Eventually, someone did come, and it did clear the problem up, mostly. We still have the occasional spidery visitor.
Also early on, the towel bar in our shower broke. As in, it came right off the wall. Again maintainence was called, and I think they fixed it fairly promptly. Still, I have not been very satisfied with the maintainence.
Noise can be a problem. We heard (and called the police) a couple have a fight--TWO BUILDINGS OVER! Granted, our windows were open, and perhaps theirs were, but that's a bit on the ridiculous side.
I'm fairly convinced there's a mold/mildew problem in the apartment. I got sick several times early in our tenure here.
Bad weather is a huge issue in this complex. The streets DO NOT get plowed, sometimes for more than 24 hours after a snowstorm. It makes driving incredibly dangerous, especially since there are three different rather steep hills. The sidewalks can be treacherous since they aren't very prompt about salting them. When roads ARE plowed, it's a shoddy job. During this last snowstorm, a plow ran us off the road and the car got stuck.
The few times we've had to call the lease apartment, they've been quite short with us. There was some confusion about a promotion they'd had when we moved in, and they took their sweet time getting back to us about it. One of the girls in particular has been incredibly snotty with my husband, and the manager has been rather rude to me in the few encounters I've had with her.
I can hardly wait to move out. Thank goodness the lease is almost up.

I agree with all of it, we had the same issues. We had a mold problem and they did nothing to fix it. Debbie, the manager, was snotty with us sometimes too. It's a horrible place.
