I've lived at PR for 3 years and am about to leave in a couple of months when my lease is up. At first, I loved the place. The one-bedroom apartments are small but perfect for what it is intended for...one person. The location is great and what attracted me to the property. Over the past 3 years, I think PR has declined. I have a spider problem throughout the year and my front door sticks so bad in cold weather there are days I can barely open it. I have complained to management about my door more times than I can count, but nothing has ever been done about it. I'm just told, "the building is older and they tend to settle." Then please explain how 2 of my neighbors received new front doors and I am left pulling my arm out of its socket trying to leave my apartment! The buildings are older so you can hear just about anything your neighbors do. The ammenities aren't up to par considering what you are paying. The laundry facility is not very convienant in that you have to walk down a couple of flights of stairs. Not real easy to do when your wrestling with a laundry basket. The lake was a nice touch...back when it looked good. I'm pretty sure one end of it is housing a West Nile breeding ground. My apartment looks out to the parking lot. This wasn't a problem at first, but apparently this section of parking lot is where delapatated boats & RV's go to die. Last summer, PR had a relandscaping project, which was nice. However, the workers left a big pile of dirt next to the boat/RV lot. This has now turned into a small hill full of weeds. Plus, in a heavy rain we have a small pond of mud to try to maneauver around. Maintnance is usually very quick to fix things...with an exception of my door. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend of mine. You could find something newer and nicer for the same price.
