Be very cautious renting from Pheasant Run & Village Green

BEWARE! This property changed ownership mid-2006. The previous owners and management from the Lipton Group were better than the new/current ownership from Village Green Properties. They now charge an OUTRAGEOUS amount for utilities - my bill for a one bedroom apartment averaged $20-25 per month for water/sewer/trash. This was in addition to what became overpriced rent.
In my opinion, Pheasant Run is interested STRICTLY in making a profit. They have lost side of the human element involved in being a landlord. They have no consideration for how their profit-driven decisions affect the lives of people that rent from them. For example, they provided me with notice of a $100 rent increase the week between Christmas and New Year's -- Merry Christmas, huh' They priced me out of remaining a resident.
Melisa Campbell, Property Manager, is unwilling to listen and work with tenants. My neighbors and I frequently shared comments about the decline in service since she became property manager.
Also, this is a general observation, there are more U-Haul trucks moving out than in these days. Proceed with caution at Pheasant Run - these are recent comments, I moved out Jan 31, 2007.

Did you ever think that the manager was just following the procedures set forth by Village Green? Maybe that is why she was unwilling to work with tenants. Funny how you feel about Village Green, but you take it out on the person who is doing their job for a crappy company.
