I love the location and the price per square foot. Those are the only nice things I can say about this place. My wife, 3 month old baby and I moved in last May. We found out the first night we stayed there that the roof leaked. The maintenance staff is friendly, but not very good at what they do. We called, they came to fix it...it still leaked. It took several patch attempts, 6 months, and the threat of getting a lawyer involved to finally get a professional to fix the roof correctly.
The windows are old and you can hear every word of normal conversations taking place outside. The noise is a problem. I saw another review that mentioned slamming doors...I thought it was just our neighbors being noisy, but I suppose it is a problem with the age of the buildings. Similar to the noise filtering through the floors, so does the cigarette smell. The neighbors below us smoke inside and we can smell it sometimes.
