Sooo Bad

At first I really liked the place, so close to Creve Coeur park. In the winter we could walk around the pond in the snow. However, the longer we stayed the worse it got. The promises that were made when we moved in re. planned renovations to the kitchen were never done. The doors were falling off the cabinets. By the time I asked about when the cabinets were to be replaced, they told me that the plan had changed and they might paint over the brown laminate, but that's about it. Maintenance doesn't take care of repairs and the place is rapidly deteriorating. Like someone else said in their review, they don't even trim back the bushes on the path around the lake. Once you live there, you are pretty much a just one of the peasants. Kids run around all over the complex unsupervised vandalizing property and wasps live in the eves--the spiders live in the apartment with you. I had sewage back up through the shower and the tub, ruining my things when I first moved in. They just shampooed the carpet that was contaminated with black sewage and threw away some of the carpet pad, which they never replaced. Later on, other tenants' kids broke in and destroyed and stole our property, completely trashing the apartment. I have suffered a major financial setback related to the vandalism of these kids. No one from the complex came to help us clean up after the break in. The maintenance men just avoided us while we tried to deal with the destruction. I really regret moving there. The rent costs as much as living at someplace like the Colony, where the living conditions are good, so don't move to Pheasant Run.
