The only reason I moved in here was because of good reviews on this website, but man I made a mistake.
Please take time to look at the apartment properly before moving in. Its not that bad... but not as good as the ratings on this site make it out to be.
For the price I pay....worst apartments I have lived in. I lived in better apartments in college and now that I have a good job....I regret ever visiting this website.
I am stuck now and only wait for my lease to be over.
Oh yeah, these apartments are very old ...all fittings and doors are like from 60s or 70s. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV

I looked at this site a couple of years ago before I moved in. I also registered, and receive email notifications whenever a new review is posted.
I admit that I haven't read any of them until today. After reading your negative comments, I decided to read through some previous posts. Most of them are positive, but I noticed a pattern - the only two negative comments were made by a guy named "Bobby".
I'm sure you are the same person, which leads me to my first point - Who cares what a guy named "Bobby" thinks anyway?
You obviously haven't spent any time at the pool. The place is full of babes, and if you ever run out of your favorite beverage, there's always someone digging in their cooler for you.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and they keep the place clean.
Sure, the place was probably built in the 70's, but so what? It's a short walk to Westport which is full of restaurants and bars. But you probably don't care because none of them have rainbow stickers in the window.
I have three pieces of advice for you:
1. Be patient...the football season is almost over. Figure skating will soon take center stage.
2. Change your name until you "come out."
3. Break your lease and move to the Central Rear End.
Here's looking up our old address.

Hello:
I was notified this morning by another resident that he received a notification of your posting. It is my understanding that if you make a review, you will receive notification whenever a new review is posted. Anyway, he was upset and stated the things you are saying are unfounded.
I read your current review, in addition to reading your first review. I am also concerned, as we strive to make our residents happy here. The staff really cares about the folks living here and I believe they go out of their way to make people comfortable. It is difficult to keep up with such a large community that have about 450 residents. I think we do a pretty good job.
Our maintenance team has worked here for a long time and they are very knowledgeable. The majority of the time the maintenance comes within 24 hours of your call. The office staff members call each resident after maintenance has visited your home to make sure you are satisfied with your service.
You are stating that the apartments are old, built in the 60's or 70's. Yes, you are correct, they were built in 1979. Comparatively speaking, we are one of the younger communities in Maryland Heights. If an appliance malfunctions we typically replace it with a brand new one. In addition, we are constantly making improvements to keep up with the age of the buildings.
Several buildings over the last three years have had new hand rails and balconies put up. New stair-treads were installed in the stairways. We are getting ready to complete the remaining steps this spring. All the buildings in the last five years have had new roofs, gutters and down spouts put on.
Two years ago we installed new ventilation systems and rebuilt the storage lockers in every building. Last year we re-asphalted the parking lots. A few years ago, we installed insulated siding on the buildings.
We repainted all the trim on the buildings, repainted the tennis court fence, installed a new deck on the club house, resurfaced the pool and got new pool furniture, made a business center and a resident lounge in the club house, all within the last year and a half.
The grounds are impeccably kept as well as the club house facilities. We offer a lot of extra's to our residents. Free DVD library, WiFI and high speed internet services, a Starbucks coffee bar, 24 hour fitness and social functions. I don't think if you looked around at the other apartment communities you would not find near the amenities, cleanliness, or service.
I'm sorry you are so upset with us. As the manager, I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you about your concerns and make an attempt to take corrective action. If you do not voice your concerns to us, obviously we cannot amend the situation.
It seems to me out of all the reviews posted you are the only person who has not been satisfied with your living experience here. I think that speaks for itself.
Thank you for your time.
