My wife and I lived at Kelly Greens during 2007-2008 after having looked at many apartments away from the colleges. We wanted a comfortable, clean, and classy place to spend our first year of marriage. The apartment stood out to us as soon as we viewed one of the apartments. The layout felt much like a home - extra features that went beyond practicality (high ceilings, interesting floor plan, bay window, etc).

We were constantly grateful to the management (Ruth) for being so kind and timely with the very few maintenance issues during our residence. However, the fact that we paid our rent consistently and were expecting a baby might have had an influence. We did our best to be mindful of the others in our building and they seemed to do the same.

When we left, we were treated very kindly and received our deposit less than a month after. They were clear when we moved in about their policy concerning the use of the deposit and followed through consistently.

To balance, there are a few concerns to mention. The windows seemed less than air-tight and utility bills in the winter reflected it (up to $50 higher). On a related note, it was very easy to hear things going on outside the apartment (people coming/leaving and groundskeepers), which was strange because we could never hear anything from adjoining apartments. Also, parking was a bit of an issue, though it seemed to depend on where your building was located. We lived at the far back corner and shared a small space with two buildings. Initially, they advertised that there were no assigned parking spaces as if it were a plus, but we found ourselves wishing that we had a space to claim.

Overall, this was a great introduction to apartment living and, for us, to the first year of married-life.
