Forced to Move in 2 Weeks

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I lived in a first floor apartment at The Boulders for 5 months in 2005-6. I received a letter in my mailbox mid-February stating that my lease would not be renewed (how cold), as the owners were converting my apartment to a condo in April 2006. This was after the staff stated a month earlier, in person, that I could extend my lease. I had 2 weeks to move.
I did have "the opportunity" to move to another apartment, but that expense would be borne by myself. No comparable apartment though existed, and the manager did not know/disclose which building would be converted next. I also was given, as a current tenant, the first right to purchase a condo.
The staff, for the most part, was very nice while we lived there. How much information they had in regards to the conversion is in question. The manager claimed to know nothing, that the timeframes and which buildings were being converted were set soley by the owner - Mills properties (Bruce Mills).
Our building (unit 204) was the first to undergo this change. Don't be fooled by the new floors, countertops, and applicance. While the location is good, the quality of the construction, and the layouts themselves, are poor. I would not invest $100K in a condo if I had to hear my neighbors every footstep or morning shower.
