I was a tenant at Sunbrook 4 years ago and from reading other people's posts - this place is still AWFUL! While I lived at Sunbrook, I could hear everything my upstairs neighbors were doing... and I mean EVERYTHING! I knew when they were in their kitchen and opening cabinets, I knew when they closed their bedroom door, flushed the toilet, I even heard them having sex! Not to mention the safety, or lack thereof, issue. Typical Sunbrook style. Cops were there on a regular basis (for conflict resolution - not prevention), neighbors doing drugs, fights in the parking lot. My friend's motorcylce was stolen while we lived there!!! When he made the report, the cops weren't surprised. Any time it rained the landscape flooded and we'd have to jump over puddles in the cracked sidewalk. Another lovely thing about the rain, it flooded into my closet... Three times! The first time I had to call management repeatedly before they sent anyone out. The second time, my carpet was damaged so poorly that it made my room smell and I had to stay at a friend's while they were repairing the damages. When I notified the manager of the damages to my belongings she didn't offer any compensation. She finally took 2 or 3 days off my month's rent because I couldn't live there during that time. The THIRD time it happened she didn't do anything. Again, I had to fight to get maintenance out there and their only solution was putting a heat blower in my room which resulted in a bad smell and noise for 4 days. Not even a "I'm sorry for the inconvenience and we assure you that we're doing what we can to make sure this doesn't happen again..." Nothing. The place was (and sounds like it still is) horrible. Believe me, you can do better.
