Good space for next to no $$$ in a decent area. A bit of bug problem, though and HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!

I just began renting a one bedroom townhome from Half Moon Village and the experience has been pretty so-so. I'm paying $570 a month for a tri-level townhome with an included washer/dryer set and have more than adequate space for me and my sort of live-in boyfriend. The building itself, however, could defitely use some updates.
All of the kitchen appliances are a nasty mustard yellow and look like they came from the stone age. We have an army ant problem that is very annoying and disgusting (I even found an army ant crawling in my BED, talk about not being able to sleep peacefully at night, YUCK!), as it is more than obvious that the unit wasn't sprayed for pests prior to my moving in. IO have also seen centipedes, silverfish, and water bugs.
I have a nice sized wooden porch that I someday hope to utilize by sitting on during the day to smoke the occasional cigarette. At the time, however, there are wasps nests underneath it, and if you come out on the porch during the day, you piss off the Mama Wasp, who flies up and starts terrorizing you until you leave the porch and go inside.
There are also a TON of mosquitos in the area. Be prepared to be chasing them in and out of your apartment or townhome, and beware of going outside your apartment in the summertime unless you are covered from head-to-toe in some sort of DEET-containing bug spray.
Management here pretty much sucks. Theresa, the fat lady who works in the leasing office during the week is a COMPLETE B*TCH! If you have a boyfriend, girlfriend, or any family members who are over at your apartment a lot, BE PREPARED FOR THERESA TO CALL YOU AND DEMAND THAT THESE PEOPLE GET ON YOUR LEASE. Have your replies and retorts well-thought in advance, because she'll bully you into this if you let her. It's more money for her, you have to remember.
Anyways, avoid Theresa at ALL COSTS if possible. Take your problems or questions to Ron, the weekend guy. He's SOOO much nicer.
