Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
I lived in this complex from May 2006-August 2008. Upon move in I really liked the apartment. It is set back from the highway, highly wooded and the apartments are decently sized. The "master" bedroom in our unit was very large.
The apartments were very quiet for the first 5 or 6 months that we lived there. Lots of young couples and elderly people lived there. I don't know if they changed their approval process or what but it seemed that suddenly the quality of tenant began to change. We had several groups of people (it seemed) move into apartments a few buildings over that spent every weekend night outside in the parking lot screaming and fighting and who knows what else. Being a stay at home mom with 2 very young children this concerned me. Soon after we began to hear gunshots at night at that was it, we were gone.
The apartment itself was not without issues, the tiling in the bathroom fell off continuously and instead of being grouted back on the maint. just put it back on and used caulk over and around it. The appliances are outdated, our dishwasher often backed up into our garbage disposal/sink. The doors are windows are not sealed well and were very drafty. Causing our utility bills to be sky high.
The drive up is terribly cracked and is in dire need of repair.
The office staff were nice enough but seemed more like you were hassling them when you had a problem than being helpful.
The only thing these apartments have going for them is the school district. Pattonville has an awesome preschool program and Im sad that I had to leave it.
