Hampden Hall

The apartment manager is, for lack of a better word, an imbecile. The view is great and all, but to appreciate it you have to be high up in the building, which can be a pain in the butt because the elevators break down a lot (and sometimes they both do at the same time). The maintenance workers did their job well, but they were stretched so thin since I only ever saw 2 of them in the year that I lived there and they had lots of apartments to look after; this lead to them not always being timely. The central air system worked horribly since the building is so old and the apartment itself left much to be desired: stains on the carpets and kitchen floor, wear on the hard wood floors, no overhead lighting in the bedrooms, poor design in the kitchen (the sink was really shallow, the faucet took 5 minutes to heat up, etc). DO NOT live here. It may seem like a good deal, and with how cheap the rent is, you may think it is. Did I mention that you have to pay $10 a month to park in a lot that you're not even guaranteed a spot in? What a joke.
