FrontDoor, LLC has created (an evil) monopoly around SLU's campus. Renters must be cautious in their decision of living in this, what seems to be, nice looking apartment. Management is made up of a bunch of rats! The way they handle everything is wrong, unethical and probably against the law.
Students really need to analyze the pros and cons.

Pros: Rent is less expensive than the rent you or your parents would be paying for SLU. However you also need to factor in how much it will cost to furnish the apartment, along with all the other little fees. ...It's amazing how I get late fees when I pay on time every month.

Cons: Management is not customer oriented, and therefore not willing to understand or help you. Parking is ridiculous. Not only is parking expensive, the stupid speed bumps knock my wheels out of alignment which is costing me hundreds every few months! FrontDoor basically robs their renters, especially when it comes to cable. At this apartment complex you are denied basic cable unless you are willing to pay an extra $20 or more dollars a month! The insulation is horrible as well. My roommates and I kept our apartment at 75 degrees or higher for a couple months and it was still damn cold. Thanks to the poor insulation I am always cold and I'm losing money fast. The walls are horrible too, I can hear everything that goes on in the apartments around me. There have been several occasions where my desk starts shaking because the people are having wild sex on the other side! And neither of them are my roommates either, they are in an entirely different apartment!

Bottom Line: You (the renter) must learn to roll over and take it from the moment you sign that contract; in this business the customer is never right. The choice of living here is a mistake that I have a hard time letting go.

There are PLENTY OF CONS as well as some "pros" (with cons to cancel them out). The main message I want to get across is BEWARE! Just know you are getting involved with a large company that won't have any time to listen to your needs; and they are more than ready to take advantage of poor college students with no where else to go.
EVERY SINGLE FRONTDOOR PROPERTY IS A HUGE SCAM!!!

Just like their name says, this place is all about the Moolah.
