I called the Apartment Finder 1-888 number for the port. The first call didn't go through. I called ONCE more, and I got a RUDE RESPONSE of "HELLOOOO????" I couldn't believe how UN PROFESSIONAL this women was to a potential renter. I would not give them a dime! I told my relative about this, and she called back and complained some more. We are looking for other places!!!

Sounds like you had phone problems if the first time it did not go thru then you called back the lady problem thought the same thing about you being rude, ever think of that. I think this was just a problem with the phone system that day. Those people in the office are very helpful and very nice if you act like a adult and pay your rent. And when the other person called did they say they were rude to them? I think you might of over reacted. Don't call the 1-888 number call the office number direct and see what kind of response you get. Don't blame office people for the 1-888 number, call them direct at 1-314-892-0477. They are not responsible for what the people say thru the 1-888 number.

That is too funny. I have to agree with jdcox79, have you ever called the office there or even better visited the office? The manager is completely rude and unprofessional, doesn't say much about the management company that lets them treat people with such disrespect. I have never heard of shopping around for an apartment and you enter the office, see this dog running around, someone is smoking in the office, and hands you the key to the vacant and says "take your shoes off at the door". I have had my fair share of renting and not one other apartment community is like the manager or leasing girls at The Port. For the record the 1-888 number is linked directly to the office of The Port, it is used to track advertising, it is the actual people who work in the office that answer the phone. I can understand how some people over react but I highly doubt that was the case when it comes to The Port. Someone needs to take over management of that apartment community and turn it around!

I recently visited The Port. The lady in the front office was smoking and did hand me the keys to a vacant apartment. Without taking any information from me, I was allowed to enter the apartment by myself. I liked the apartment. It was clean and had new appliances.
When I returned the keys I asked some questions and the lady answered them and was not rude but kinda curt. I can see the point of some of these negative post and took them into account when deciding. The owners may want to address issues raised here.
