Residences at Forest Park

I love living here From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/3/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007   I'm a current resident here, and I was a little surprised at the reviews on here. I have lived here since Summer 2005 and will continue to live here until I finish school and need to leave in 2008. Quite honestly, I would consider myself lucky to find a place like this to live in the next city I live in. Yes, there has been a management change since my time here, but I had no problems with the old management - I found them quite nice and I quite like the new management as well. The people who work in the office and the maintenance staff are quite friendly. Any repairs/maintenance requests I have put in have been taken care of in 24 hours or less. The rent is more expensive than some other places in the area, but the amenities are also top notch. I've been to several of my friends' apartments around the CWE and none of them are as nice, and very rarely do they have a washer/dryer in the unit. It is a dog friendly building with a large weight limit which makes it great for dog owners, especially with a fenced in yard for the dogs. That, and competing communities charge large pet deposits or pet rents. My pet rent was low, though I can't remember the amount, and I pay a minimal $10 pet rent each month. I find the other residents quite friendly as well, I've never felt like anyone here was a snob. Above and beyond all, I feel very safe living here. Several of my friends have had break-ins at their places of residence and not only has that never happened to me, but I am never fearful that it will happen. For all those reasons and more I will gladly walk the short distance to the guest parking lot to throw out my own trash.
