I have been a resident at Southmoor for almost 4years now and have been through many staff changes. The original appeal to Southmoor was the setting, grounds and management staff even though at the time, Southmoor had the highest market rent in the area. At that time, I was willing to pay a bit more as I felt the quality of the property was well worth it. I enjoyed that the staff got to know residents, even when it did get, as another poster mentioned, "gossipy" at times. Personally, I enjoyed that Southmoor wasn't just an apartment complex, but that it was a community. However, recently I feel as though the quality of service from the management staff has severly decreased. From the curt and short remarks made by the property manager to the decline of "quality" residents I am greatly unsettled by the new feel to Southmoor. It has now gone back to being just an apartment complex, with impersonal service, high rent, and less discretion in regards to renters. I would suggest that The Michelson Organization review policy and procedure for the changes that have been made at Southmoor. For interest, within the past 2 months, I can note 6 people that have either moved out or given notice due to no other reason than the decline of the property. Although I would still like to compliment those who maintain the grounds I would not recommend Southmoor Apartments and will certainly not be renewing my lease. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ

I too felt that the staff was often rude and gossipy. Also, this place is WAY overpriced.
