Bugs, stray cats, maintenance men randomly walking into the apartment, shady people

I had a problem with roaches and the staff insisted they were "water bugs".

Also, there are lots of wasps that fly around outside the doors and windows in the summer and you literally have to run in order to avoid being stung by them.

There are also tons of stray cats outside by the dumpsters.

One of them crawled under my car and DIED last summer.

The smell was horrible, and I had to take my car to Dobbs to have it removed.

Disgusting.

Also, if you value your privacy, beware- they do random "maintanence checks" where the groundsmen will just walk into your apartment unannounced.

The staff will post a flyer the week before announcing the checks, but they never tell you when you can expect these men to just show up at your doorstep and barge into your apartment.

They came in one time when I was asleep, so I ended up putting an extra lock on my door.

Finally, I noticed a serious decline in the "quality" of tenants of the past few years.

It seems like they will rent to just about anybody.

Lots car break-ins, loud truck engines revving in the middle of the night, parties, etc.

I had to call the police TWICE when I was there, due to noise disturbances and feeling unsafe walking into my apartment at night.


Also, the walls there are very thin and I heard my neighbors fighting or having sex all the time.

Overall I am very happy to be out of that place.

It is not what I'd call a family-oriented atmosphere at all.

if you are looking to rent in South County, search elsewhere.

You can find a lot better quality of a place to live than this!
