Do NOT Live Here!!

My husband and I lived here for two years...but we should have left after the first year! Please be advised that the claim of renovated apartments means partial renovations. The appliances, cabinets and carpet are new...but the windows and plumbing are not!! We had water seeping into our apartment from the patio door and the window in our bedroom. The water caused layers of mold to grow in the window ledges and in the walls surrounding the windows. When we would contact maintenance, they would spray some kind of liquid substance over the windows and then they would wipe them clean. This would not take care of the problem...but it only covered it up for a couple of months until the mold reappeared. The mold and sewage smell in our apartment was absolutely distusting and completely overwhelming! We actually moved out early, because the smell was so horrible. We tried to end our lease early due to the mold and sewage, but management would not even consider it. We told management that we were going to contact the health department, but they sent maintenance in to "cover" up the problem with paint before we brought the health department into our apartment. Please be advised that they tried to "cover" up the problem...they did not fix the problem! Two months after we moved out, our apartment smelled worse than ever! When I went over to clean the apartment, I could only stay for one hour at a time, because the smell would make me sick. We actually threw away our sheets and towels, because they smelled like mold...as bad as our apartment. Please know that if we would have read the reviews on this site before signing our lease, we would not have even considered Pavilion Apartments. There are much nicer and healthier apartments available in St. Louis! Please read the rest of these reviews and don't be confused by the claim of "renovated" apartments!
