I'm pretty much noticing the same theme for most of the just-south-of-maryland-heights apartment complexes.
Decent area, decent prices, average building quality, and crappy awful staff and maintenance.
Anyway, I lived on Palestra on the third floor for a year, in a 2 bedroom, and overall I did like it.
The worst part for me was the staff for sure.
They were total b****es who acted like they despised talking to anyone who lived there, and how dare you bother them with your problems.
If you dont mind puting up with this, then I would reccomend this as a decent place IF you get a good deal.
Keep in mind this was 2 years ago I lived there.
I lived there right before they started doing "renovations", and we got a 2 bedroom for $599 a month.
They have since raised their rent by a lot, and if its more than 650 or 700 I would not recommend it.
They are not incredibly big either.
They are designed nice inside and look nice though.
Lets see..
parking was a little rough..
as far as noise it was usually us making it, I had some decent parties, our neighbors were cool never complained or anything..
grounds are well kept..
felt adequately safe..
place was build solid and didnt have much issues with things breaking that werent fixed timely..
staff sucked.
Oh and had to cross major street to get to laundry facilities sucked.

Since you don't live in a renovated home, are the ones that aren't renovated still nice? I don't think the pics they have up are of the ones that aren't renovated so I was just making sure I knew what I was getting into before getting a 2 bedroom that isn't renovated.
