When we came to look for an apartment at West Pointe Apartments they said they were going to give us this great deal on an apartment that was compeletely updated. We thought this was going to be perfect....But not for long. After putting down a non refundable deposit on the apartment we were told we would get, they called us the next day and said sorry, we messed up and gave it to someone else, but you can look at any other apartments closer to the clubhouse and it will be just a little bit more. So we looked and out of all the apartments we found one we liked, even though it still had its own problems. The lady we were working with for the lease was Angie (dont remember her last name). While we were waiting for our copy of the lease agreement after we signed we overheard a couple being told the same thing as us. "Sorry, we messed up and gave away the apartment you put your deposit on"
Shady...
So Angie told us we would get this great deal and it would be for 14 months. Thats fine. Well, its only been about 10 months and now they are saying our lease is up. I pulled out our lease and sure enough, they DID NOT put 14 months on there, only 12. And they want to raise rent 100 bucks a month or more. The neighbors are great here for the most part, but the management SUCKS. They are very cheap. When we moved in to our apartment the lady who lived here before us was here for 7 years with a cat. We moved in to carpet that was only steam cleaned. They would not replace the carpet and said we would not be charged for it to be replaced when we move out. I video taped everything I saw wrong with the apartment. Like the bleach stains in the carpet, dents in the fridge from someone punching it, the ceiling in the bathroom that caved in when the people above flooded their apartment. Did West Pointe put in new drywall' NO! They put drywall tape and mudd to cover the huge area that caved in. The bath tub...how hoosier. They painted the bathtub white and of course, the paint in wearing off the bath tub. Walls are never replaced, just patched. The appliances are old and have problems, but they say nothing is wrong and refuse to replace. Spiders, for some reason our apartment and the apartment behind us this past fall were infested with spiders, we would find about 3 a day or more, only wolfe spiders, but still. We have a 1 year old. I can continue to add to this list, but do not have anymore time. I suggest everyone to spend their efforts looking at EVERY apartment complex around, take into consideration the reviews on this website, and talk with the people that live in those apartment complexes.

You hit the nail on the head with this review....FYI, those aren't wolfe spiders they're brown recluses. Our apt was infested with them as well and we had a newborn!

Yep, our daughter isnt even 2 yet. I believe there is mold in our apartment where water damage was that never got repaired properly. I am having St.Louis County Health come out to take a look. Neighbors were getting sick because of mold from water damage that the apartment did not fix. So they were let out of their lease.
This should be their slogan. "West Pointe Apartments, The next best thing to Section 8"
