I really enjoyed living here. It was a bit far from school (I was a grad student at SLU, downtown), but it was the first place I found that had green space.
My biggest hurdle when finding an apartment was my German Shepherd dog. She was absolutely welcome with minimal pet rent (my deposit was a bit bigger, but I got it all back).
There was a playground for kids, two ponds, lots of green areas. The neighborhood is very safe. I was never concerned when I walked around either with or without my dog. The club house had a beautiful sitting area, access to the internet, the office staff would sign for your packages and hold them for you. The indoor pool was a dream - I used it all the time. The fitness room is a bit small, but with two treadmills, two stairmasters, two stationary bicycles and a universal machine as well as free weights and a couple of other machines, it was more than adequate. The hot tub is well maintained and the sauna was always clean.
The residential area surrounding the complex is great and the people very friendly. The residential streets back to the local high school, so the track, football/baseball/soccer fields and tennis courts were within walking distance (about 1/2 mile).
Olive Boulevard is right there - movies (14 screens), grocery stores - retail all within walking distance.
The apartments themselves - a bit pricey, but worth it. I know they have several different floorplans from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom townhomes. I love the exposed brick in the dining room and the deck had ample room. Any maintenance issues I had were taken care of promptly. I could occasionally hear my neighbors above, below and beside, but I was blessed with nice ones who didn't party too much (and quieted down when asked!). A lot of families in the complex, so a lot of kids around, but I rarely heard of any problems with safety. Parking was great 99% of the time. There were no assigned spots unless you opted to pay for covered parking. I only had to look for a spot two or three times.
As with everything, take any review with a grain of salt. I heard some stories about problems with the management, but I had a great experience.
