Living here has been the worst part of my life. The apartments are paper-thin, I can hear every step my neighbor upstairs takes, and I hear him and the person on the other end talk on the phone! The noise is worse when he turns on his TV, music and entertains his army of kids from his baby-mama who are always running, jumping and stomping on the floor, waking me up in the middle of my hard-earned sleep or interrupting my home study time. When I reported this to the management, they had the cheek to ask me that was this noise the kind you can hear in any other apartment, this despite me detailing my complaint in a letter, if it was normal, why would I even bother complain' They never took any action.
I have a leak from upstairs that has never been fixed for close to a year now despite numerous attempts by the maintenance crew, who never leave a note that they were in your apartment, never clean the mess they create. This leak has been causing moulds to grow all over the apartment and my clothes which I end up throwing away. My car got broken into a couple of times, one of my neighbors got mugged, I hear a couple other ladies too and a number of carjacking episodes in the parking lot. A shot person s body was found in the parking lot late last year. My lease is up and I am out of this hell of a life.
