On the surface, this complex looks like a dream but it turns out to be a nightmare. The construction is sub-par at best. The office staff is kind enough to tell you not to worry about patching up nail holes, etc but the walls are so fragile that the towel racks are falling off... even if you don't have towels on the racks! We have found areas where the carpeting is coming up from off the floor and the windows are very leaky; you can feel the air coming in all around.
The walls are thin and almost seem thinner than average apartments. We have a neighbor who has a drum set and plays the drum set in their apartment, so we are treated to an impromptu concert at all hours of the day. I stay home with my baby and it's difficult to get a 5 month old to nap when your neighbor is drumming. According to mgmt, they can't do anything because drums are not against the lease. I have been startled awake (at 2 am) a few times by the neighbors having a soiree.
Silverfish are everywhere, so be prepared.
Parking is a pain at times, if you come home later than 6pm you run the risk of parking 3-4 buildings over, which is a pain when bringing in groceries or at night.
If you are single and not easily disturbed, go for Turnberry... just make sure you take the extra time to look over your lease VERY closely... if you can have a lawyer (or even law student) look at it, do so because they can be sneaky. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ

Response to the above response in gray box by 'anonymous' - It appears as though you are not accustomed to apartment living (or turning off CAPS lock for that matter). You should probably think before you write and understand that the people you chastise are able to read this site and therefore could be hurt by your responses. I used to live across from the drummer I believe you are talking about and he always stopped whenever I asked and only played for a bit in the afternoons when most people are at work. You should understand that apartment living is one of community and that people are going to make some noise during normal day hours (not conducive to the baby life). I would suggest that with a new baby you should invest in a home, as it will build equity. I think you should have used the money you are using for a baby to buy a house, and waited to have children as you seem to be unable to afford both. Good luck with your life and remember that people are approachable and kindness goes a lot further than disrespect or childish rants.

We must be talking about a different person not all people are approachable, some people belong in trailer parks. And who are you to tell people when they should and shouldn't have children, we can't all be perfect now can we. HAVE A NICE LIFE!!!!

Really some people dont get to choose there lives and will go there whole lives living in an apartment. Do you think thats what we want? NO! It would be nice to have a home but it is a struggle and with everyday bills its hard to save up enough money for a down payment when you have a family. And like she said not all people are approachable!
