PARKING PROBLEMS (Apartments in most cases are for young adults, retires/the elderly, and people who are in the process of buying or selling a home. The problem is that most households today own at least 2-3 cars.

At Turnberry every tenant has one vehicle and in many situations 1 or 2 more vehicles that are not for ever day use (ex. motorcycles, pick-up trucks, junker cars, boats, boat trailers and so on. Turnberry offers garages and carports (IF YOU RENT A CARPORT BEWARE IN THE WINTER OF 2007 EVERY CARPORT CRASHED DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF ICE AND SNOW ON VEHICLES; RESULTING IN THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF DAMAGE) for a very high price, although it is easier for these people to simply park the above vehicles in an everyday parking spot at no extra cost. If you don t believe me, take a look for your self. You will find in front of almost every building a motorcycle that is covered and that is never used except for maybe 3-4 weekends a year. HOW DOES THIS AFFECT YOU When you come home from work, school, grocery shopping, any time on the weekend, or to go pick-up your mail, you will come home to a parking lot with NO AVAILBEL PARKING SPOTS FOR YOUR EVERYDAY USE VEHICLE because several Turnberry parking lots have become a storage center rather than a parking lot for renters

SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM The Turnberry staff has everyone s license plate on record upon signing a contract. If someone re-signs their contract they should also be required to bring a copy of the personal property tax receipt (for proof of ownership) and update ALL new and existing licensed vehicle information with the office.

Next, Turnberry should drive/walk around the complex and take a look at what vehicles haven t moved every month start with vehicles that are covered or that have three wheels or bird nests growing out of the exhaust...that s usually a good sign of long term parking. Also, try sending notices to every renter and give them an opportunity to rat on their neighbors. Ex. Building____ Car_____ License Plate_______ How long has it been parked there_____. With this info. Turnberry Management can monitor these vehicles. (Yes, Turnberry Management I just took away your excuse Well, there s no possible way we could ever know who is, or is not parking their car for storage purposes. Let us help you!

WHY THIS WHOLE PARKING THING IS IMPORTANT TO ALL RENTERS!

No renter should have to park in front or behind another building EVER!
No renter should have to park on the street b/c their neighbors are having a party.
No renter should have to walk more than 100 feet in the dark alone to their front door.
No renter should be forced to rent a garage or car port to guarantee parking.
No renter should have to park on the grass, curbs, or a handicap spot b/c their neighbors are using the other spots for storage.

It's nice to know there are people out there who feel the same way I do! At least someone knows how to successfully run an apartment complex! I also do not believe that a motorcycle that is used two months out of the year should constitue as a vehicle that is allowed to sit in a parking spot, that could be used for an everyday used vehicle.

You can't please every person out here. Some people have no respect for anyone, the office can't fix everything if they aren't told about it. I have no problems with any of the girls in the office. When I have a problem it always seems to get taken care of. The office shouldn't get the blamed for ignorant people. The whole world is full of them!!!

How can you possibly defend the office staff (unless you work there or are friends with them) when it comes to parking. There the only people that can legally control the problem. At this point it has nothing to do with ignorant people. Do you really believe someone paying close to $1,000 a month is asking too much in regard to having a parking spot near their own building? That's not about trying to please people...that's called trying to manage a customer (not tenant), a customers problem with service. Your right, the office can't fix everything, especially when they don't even try.
