I've lived at Vanderbilt for only a month now and I've been counting the days until my 12 month lease is over since day one. On the day I moved in I didn't get to sleep the entire night due to my extremely noisy neighbors. It's loud in my building 24/7. I hear my neighbors from the time they wake up until the time they go to bed. I even know when they go to the bathroom, that's right, I hear it every day. Talk about gross! Every time my neighbor flushes the toilet I hear a tick in the wall, no idea what it is. It sounds like the ceiling is going to come crashing down on me.

No one seems to pick up their dogs poop, no matter how many threats management puts out to the entire complex.

Also the other day I get a bill in the mail for water, sewer and trash. I was never even told I was going to be billed for it. It's not a large bill, but it just makes me so angry that no one told me to expect a bill.

Also all these little things keep going wrong. My kitchen counter is chipping like crazy and I don't even hardly use it. My bathtub is peeling, so it looks like they just temporarily fix things to make it look nice at move in. Also my carpet is disgusting. When I moved in you could tell that they shampooed it, but it's still gross.

So if you like sleeping with earplugs and watching out for the poop that is everywhere, Vanderbilt is the place for you. I can't wait to get out of here.
