I chose Applewood Hills because I have many allergies and Applewood Hills is advertised as an entirely "non-smoking complex." Unfortunately, the heating and cooling system is poorly built so individual apartments don't have individual ventilation. Thus, if one person in a building with 26 apartments smokes in his/her apartment, every apartment in the building fills up with the smell of cigarette smoke. When this has occured, which has been very often, calls to the management office are ignored for at least a month before notes are put under everyone's doors reminding them they signed a lease agreeing to not smoke in their apartment. These notes work for a couple of weeks then the smoke pollution starts up again. I would recommend Applewood Hills overall but don't be fooled by the promise of a non-smoking living experience; that just isn't true.
