Several people have mentioned this in thier reviews, here is our experience. When I first called Peine Lakes, I answered the questions the woman asked honestly about income. Only after being told we qualify, we went out to fill out an application, for which you have to pay. Several days later, I had to call them back, I was now told we do not qualify, we make too much money. I am writing this review and then contacting the State Attoney Generals office concerning this practice of "pre-qualifying" people, charging them an application fee, then rejecting them. BEFORE you apply to here, make sure your income is no where near the limit. The girls in the office were nice to us, but if you want piss poor attitude, and horrible customer service skills, contact the corporate office. There is where the attitude problems start. Don't forget, all of us that rent, are just scumbags, and don't deserve thier attention or respect.

No, as a matter of fact I am NOT a Staff Member, I'm a retired Teacher/RN and I spend time at the office, as I volunteer my time teaching the children there 5 days a week and I see and Hear, and I can promise you, you have NO reason complaining, as many peole come in stating one thing, and when the vertication comes back, its found they were MISTAKEN or Hiding the TRUTH about their income. What comes from ones own memory doesn't always reflect the truth, and LAW is the LAW! Kerry
