My experience with Windsor Lake Apartments is not a good one. Upon moving in the apartment, I turned in a list of things that were wrong with the apartment and they never got fixed during my stay. I also had a critter problem. They claimed to have bug exterminators coming in and spraying each month. Well, after a couple of days of the bug man spraying, I would have these enormous cockroaches come out. They were in the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom, the living room, everywhere. I would wake up to a cockroach crawling across my bedroom wall, washing them out of the shower, and then watching them crawl across the bathroom wall while I was getting ready. One night when fixing to get in the shower, I had a cockroach fly out of the vent that was above my head. It almost fell on me!!!! When I moved in I noticed a smell that was mixed with a cleaning supply smell. I wasn't sure what it was, I just thought that it was something that they cleaned with. After about a week, the cleaning smell wore off and I was left with cigarrette smoke smell. Whoever lived there before me smoked inside that apartment. It was in the paint, in the carpet. I tried everything to get it out. Nothing worked. So every single article of clothing had to be cleaned once I moved out because my clothes reeked of cigarrette smoke.
Upon two occassions, I have come to the apartment to find my toliet was overflowed with someone else's feces. When I called the maintenance man the first time, he asked me did I have a plunger. I told him I did not have a plunger and that it was not my job to get this toliet unstopped. The feces were all over my bathroom floor in the toliet. I had to clean my entire bathroom. The second time it overflowed, another maintenance man informed me that Windsor Lake apartments sued the people who installed the plumbing. If I would have known that I would have never rented from them. Another problem is there are illegals everywhere. They come in by the van loads and lay out in the yards.
If you want to live in a nice, quiet apartment please do not pick Windsor Lake Apartments. I wouldn't let my dog live there.
