My fiance is in the military currently stationed in Gulfport. His apartment search landed him at Summerfield where, without checking reviews, he signed a one year lease. His measly discount did little to ease our minds, especially after we got a first hand glimpse of how horrible the place really is. Look wise, it is not that bad, until you look at the details. Our hall closet (we live in a one bedroom) is and has been broken since we moved in. We were supposed to be reimbursed for a broken lightbulb (already broken upon our move in) in the refrigerator and chandelier and have yet to see any money. The "work out" room is pitiful and the parking ludicris. Our neighbors above us stomp around in work boots the entire night/day and could apparently care less that the walls are paper thin in the building. My fiance is now on deployment in Kuwait and I am staying in with my parents trying to plan a wedding and save some money. Instead of giving us the option of a hold, or decreasing the rent slightly due to the fact that no one is staying there and we have all the breakers switched off, but no. Instead, they threaten to throw us a 10% increase due to their laziness of not letting us know they need the proof of our insurance, which we've had since December 22, 2006. Instead of emailing or calling, they taped it to the door of the apartment, where anyone can rip it off, and just expected it to get taken care of, KNOWING my fiance was in Kuwait and that no one was going in and out. I, luckily, was able to make it out there to check on things and found the note, the day before the paperwork was due. When I filed a complaint they tried to blame me for incompitince stating that I should have checked before. Well, needless to say, as soon as our lease is up, we're gone. I do not and never will reccommend this complex to anyone, even if they are my greatest enemy.

Letters went out for insurance 6 times, you can't not keep your things in an apartment and not pay for it....*&^&%&% uh WHAT. Trash.... never we pick up our grounds every morning, if someone drops something what should they do run out there and pick it up.

I am looking for an apartment in the area and if what is written is 100% true then the management should be ashamed of themselves. Here a our soldier is performing his duty for his country and his bride to be is left to contend with this kind of place. Management should be helping her (as we all should be helping the families of our armed forces.

OK OK OK HOLD THE HELL UP! Seriously, Im a military wife, and Ill be honest, yes it is hard with your husband/fiance away ok, but for one- HE SIGNED THE LEASE, too effin bad get over it, he should have checked before signing the lease! when you sign a lease you sign a CONTRACT!!! For two you have to pay for it if all your ---- is there and you signed the lease, if they cant rent it out cuz your ---- is there YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!! AND FOR 3 YOU are the FIANCE not the SERVICE MEMBER, STOP WEARING YOUR FIANCE'S RANK, yes he is deployed, I KNOW ITS HARD, but just cuase he is deployed doesnt mean people are going to baby your ass and help you out, quit crying about it -----, and if you seriously have to sit there and cry about it and blah blah blah he is in kuwait, YOU NEED SOME ------- COUNSELING, people dont cater to you -----, STOP WEARING THE RANK OF A SOLDIER WHEN YOU DONT DO ---- BUT SUPPORT HIM! SHUT YOUR ----INGMOUTH! NO ONE CARES ABOUTYOU
