Their is not very good maintance at this complex. The managers are bitchy and rude to the tenats. They are never in the office during their posted office hours. After Hurricane Katrina, they were expecially rude to the tenants, demanding rent ontime as usual (most of us had not worked in two weeks and the banks were still closed).

The complex looks nice, and the price is expensive. Don't let that fool you. The place is old, and it is about time that they replaced all of the appliances, pluming, electircal work and fixtures. They will not do any work on your place after you move in.

That is false. The rent deadline was NOT enforced after Hurricane Katrina. I paid my rent five days late and they accepted it with a smile and no mean words. The staff is exceptionally nice and has never demanded anything of me.

It IS true, they had posted a letter on the office door stating a variety of guidelines, one of which being rent was due "as usual" this was taken down after a nasty letter was posted by a tenant pointing out that many of us hadn't received a paycheck for a week and would not for a couple more at best. This was also brought to the attention of a local newspaper and they may have receieved a phonecall from them, too. THAT'S when they took late rent with a smile. I will say that the assistant manager is fairly easy to work with most of the time but the main manager is a moron.
