If I had it to do all over again, I WOULD NOT move here.

I have lived at this apartment complex for several years. It is now called the Arbor Walk. I have had problems from day 1 (literally). I have requested several broken things to be fixed in the apartment, but years later, they are still broken. They are not minor, either - things like LIGHTS IN A ROOM.

The management here is very unprofessional and unreliable. For example, I have put in multiple work requests that have never been filled. When I asked the maintenance staff directly, they report that they never received the work order from the management. I have had several major maintenance problems (A/c, water problems, light problems, RODENT PROBLEMS), but the management is very lackluster in responding. They management staff will be very helpful and kind until you move in, but after that, they are not attentive.

Rent also keeps increasing. After Hurricane Katrina (when there was a serious shortage of housing), the rent suspiciously started increasing (like kick 'em when they're down and take their money!). Also, right after the Hurricane the management was suspiciously missing - they were not here to help tenants whose apartments had been destroyed (literally - destroyed).

Rent keeps increasing. A person moving in today could expect to pay at least $625 per month for a one bedroom apartment THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE A WASHER AND DRYER. It is outrageously expensive and it keeps going up. Rent has increased multiple times in the few years I have lived here. These rent increases are driving the good tenants out, and the newer people that are moving in are trashy and loud. We have our fair share of drug dealers and crack heads (I guess everyone does).

In short, if you are moving to Hattiesburg, find a different apartment complex. This one is honestly not worth the money and I can't wait until I graduate from school so I can get out of this apartment complex and buy a house in town. (There are several homes for rent in town, so that is also an option if you are moving to Hattiesburg).

Oh yeah - they charge monthly pet rent. Which is a rip off.
