I've lived here since january 09. I have had an overall very good experience here and i am probably going to renew my lease. The parking is very good, i never have trouble getting a spot. I would have to agree with the other comments about the noise, i do hear the bass of the people hanging out late, but it isn't real bad and is probably the only complaint i have. The grounds are nice, including nice landscaping, great pool area and commons area. When i first arrived, i noticed some trash, but that quickly and drastically changed. Every other morning when i leave for school around 8, i see someone out on a golf cart picking up trash and debris. I do feel safe. Plenty of outdoor lighting, and everything is easily seen. We have a gate, temporarily broken, but is whould be up and running soon. The overall construction and design is very nice for the price i pay. The only complaint is the cheap toilets. lol. Mansfield's are pieces of ----. lol. The staff is WONERFUL! It might just be me, but the staff are extraordinary. I'm always greeted and my needs are handled very promptly. I've talked with the manager for several hours one day and she is really nice. I have had a few complaints about maintenance, but they were always fixed the same day, and usually within the hour!! However, i do see the problems that people stated in 2008. The staff and management were different then and they messed up a lot(or so i've heard). THe new staff however is great and should be given a chance to prove themselves because they have to fix the damage of their predecessors. As for the calling ahead for roommates, When i applied, the lady gave me a list of names and numbers that i used and found my roommates. Before she gave me the list, she called each and everyone of them in front of me and told them that i would be calling about moving in. If they did not answer, she left a voice mail. I really like it here and i think that others will too when they notice the dramatic differences being made to make us feel more at ease!!
p.s. The baths doesn't go to 4 on my rating but i have a 4 bed/4 bath.
