I have lived at Mark VI for a bit over a year now. I had been told (and saw for myself) that most apts get new paint and carpet after old tenents move. I have lived in the apt closest to 4th st and rarely hear any noisy traffic. Anytime I have needed something fixed all it takes is 1 call to Richard and within 20 minutes the repair guy was there. Yes, you should invest in a chain lock or have mngmnt install a "stick lock" at the top of your door. Maintence and pest control usually only knock once before using the key. Pest control ALWAYS leaves a notice that they entered your apt.. Maintenence.. not so much. They have only ever entered my apt to change air filters or fix something I called them for. Also, Mngmnt has a 2 strike rule for noisy neighbors. They don't allow broken down cars to sit in the parking lot for very long else they get towed. As for the Management right now (8/23/07) Richard is very accomodating to most younger tenents while the older lady at the front desk is typically standoffish but not overtly rude. Overall I would definately recommend this apt to anyone!
