I moved out a year ago, and it's surprising to see the reviews posted since then, as I thought POW was a wonderful complex.

I actually lived there twice from 2000-01 and again from 2002-05.

Good things:
PEST CONTROL WAS AMAZING -- I never saw a single roach in my apartment the entire time I was there! Wish I could say the same thing about where I am now... I hate 'em.

Maintenance was good. I had a leak in my apartment at 11:30 on a Friday night and they came over and took care of it. Turned out the upstairs neighbor had knocked a hole in her bathtub and didn't know that it would leak into my apartment!!!! But the staff got it patched up immediately and brought some carpet fans that night to dry out my carpet where it leaked into the living room.

Rent is not bad at all, especially for an apartment with W/D units installed!

The staff was great! Very nice people.

The apartment must be well insulated, or everyone else around me cranked their heaters way up -- I turned on my heater maybe once the first winter, and at most 5 times the next winter.... winter electric bills in the $40's were nice.

Huge closet! Very nice walk-in closet with deep shelves for storage on top of the clothes racks.

Bad things:
The walls and ceilings are definitely thin, and you sometimes hear neighbor's phones ring or TVs on. I could swear I could even hear my neighbor snoring if I was exceptionally quiet in my bedroom....

Parking was my biggest complaint -- I always found a spot (just make sure you're home by nightfall -- the lot fills up at night, leaving you to have to park all the way in the front unless you luck out and find someone leaving). But two separate times I had people hit my truck and leave without even putting a note on my car (the first one did $700 damage).

All in all, this place was my home for 4 years, and I liked it there.
