I have found that only if you are in the military,you are not charged to have the carpet cleaned or replaced.I used to live in these apartments for 2 years and when i moved out (the lease states the carpets can only have normal wear) I (who am a non- smoker) had been told that the carpet had to be fogged for smoke in the carpet.''' I feel that the bill sent was not justified,as well as a rip-off,since the carpet had to be cleaned after the air conditioner drain for that side of th building had clogged and the same carpet cleaners that said I had smoke damage to the carpet ,said that they would be replacing the carpet due to shrinkage after the repair work done after the flood clean-up.Even the maintenance men(Rick,James,and Daniel)said that it would have to be replaced beforte it could be rented out again.even after the carpet repair men had to come out several times to fix the carpet due to shrinkage after they had cut the carpet to replace the padding and had to add a 1 1/2" strip of New carpet (which din't match)in the bedroom doorway.And now I'm being charged for it'''
