Worst Place To Live Ever

I had the displeasure of moving into the Chateau Bayou Apartments in the early 2000's...biggest mistake of my life. The rent was way too overpriced for the non-existent luxuries of the 2 bedroom townhouse I had. The neighbors were "ok" in my building, but the kids were a bit much at times with the noise. The laundry room was always filthy so doing laundry was never something to look forward to. The pool was not maintained well at all...I am absolutely shocked and saddened that a poor girl drowned after I had moved...very sad to hear that indeed. There was also a fire'...I am not surprised...the buildings and grounds were not maintained at all by the maintenance staff which changed practically every week. As for management...a woman named Donna was the manager when I lived there and she was as miserable and horrible a person as it gets. She was rude, unfriendly, and overall a pain to deal with. Asking for anything got a negative response and she didn't carry out things in a timely manner if she actually did them at all. HOWEVER....if you were a minute late on your rent (which I was from time to time), a notice of possible eviction was right away posted on your front door for your neighbors to see causing embarassment though most of my neighbors also had those same notices on their doors. To Donna if you read this...you have no business managing anything as you are by far the worst "professional" I have come across when renting places. There was a very nice woman whose name I forget that should have been manager that worked in the office during my time there. She was very prompt when I made requests to her and was a very friendly person indeed, if she's still working there I hope all is well with you.
To anyone considering moving to Chateau, I beg you to NOT. And I am definitely not a bitter or disgruntled former tenant...I have never had issues in any other place I have lived except for Chateau Bayou and that was because of the management and maintenance. It doesn't surprise me that the maintenance workers were felons and prisoners...they did not have a clue what they were doing, were rude and difficult to deal with, and did not have any business having their positions. I remember one who lived in one of the apartments who was especially ridiculous...his family was the embodiment of white trash and caused a lot of grief for my neighbors.

Stay clear of this wretched landfill!
