I wanted to let everyone looking for a place to live know that The Reserve at Gulf Hills is the worst complex on the coast. What makes it so bad' The Staff! About 13 months ago when we moved in, it was great. Our leasing agent was a sweet young girl who went above and beyond to get us the unit with the view that we wanted. After moving in things were great. The holidays passed; they had functions in the club room it had a real since of community. Well, sometime around March we noticed that the staff had changed. The property manager, assistant manager and our leasing agent was no longer there. The new assistant manager told they had been removed from their postions due to lack of performance. It didn't take long for things to go sour within a month you could tell there was no pride in the property anymore. We went into the office to discuss some issues and the staff was sitting around goofing off and smoking in the clubhouse. One was even flashing his tattoos and dancing and singing around. Also, it looked like they were running a daycare in the clubroom as the staff had a total three children, one an infant sitting in a playpen unattened while they smoke. Do you really want to live somewhere that the staff members can't raise their own children correctly'
While out to dinner at a local restarunt we noticed the entire staff children in tow along with several residents, one couple that lives in our building drinking and having a great time. Does this tell you that they play favorites or what' Everyone is definitely not held to the same standards.
In closing, as others have noted that the flowers are pretty and the grass is always cut. But, in the grass and on the concrete, there is always trash, dog poop and duck poop - UGH! The maintenance staff left several months after new management arrived. What happened' YOu may also want to check with the local authorities to see as how many cars, boats, motorcycles, etc. have either been stoled or vandalized. The inside of the apartments are not remodeled (as advertised) and the unit we live in smells like a cat peed everywhere. Let me not forget to mention that I hear everything my neighbors do - AND I MEAN EVERYTHING! My advice, STAY AWAY!
