Not worth it

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
After only a year, my room mate and I could not have been happier the day we submitted our 30 days notice. From the beginning of our stay at The Links we were dissatisfied. Just getting an apartment was a hassle and until August-a week before we had been told that a place would be move in ready-they were not even sure they had places available. This was after they assured us that they would have at least a dozen available before July. When we arrived for move in in our assigned apartment the place was a complete mess. They had repainted, but the kitchen and bathrooms were a disaster. We had several maintenance issues that were a nightmare to straighten out with management. Several times my roommate and I would go to fill out forms or requests, they were rude and unhelpful. The Links is a bit more strict on rules than most places, but nothing too ridiculous. As far as the apartment itself, the open layout is nice but dreadfully dark. The bedrooms were large enough to house my oversize furniture and it was nice having a bathroom private to each room. Parking was generally not an issue and outside is well lit. My neighbors were loud, and again, management was less than helpful with this problem. When the weather became nicer, I had an issue every morning with mowers and landscapers. Overall, I would suggest looking around for houses and town homes for rent before resorting to this place. For the same amount of money and a little work you can find a lot of options to better suit your needs.
