Links at Oxford

I lived at The Links for one year and am planning on returning for next school year. I moved into another apartment on the other side of Oxford that is, as the landlord says, "a very quiet atmosphere." I am the only one that takes that policy seriously. These people are ridiculously loud and the apartments are horribly built. The Links was amazing, which is why I'm going back! I don't understand why other reviewers are saying there were hidden fees or too many rules. Sometimes rules are necessary in order to have a peaceful living environment. If you live at some of the other places in Oxford for a while, you'll see how wonderful the links really is. It is very quiet; I never had to complain about noisy neighbors at the links. The management was always very nice and fixed any problem very quickly. At least here your car or apartment doesn't constantly get broken into. It's a much safer place than others in Oxford that I've seen. It is true that they use most of your deposit for painting and other things when you move out, but I guess that's understandable. There are no hidden fees that I know of and even though other people have said you can't have a pet, I know plenty of people who have had pets there; you just have to put down a pet deposit. Everybody will have their own opinion, but I think a lot of the reveiwers just haven't lived anywhere else and had the opportunity to see what problems occur at other apartments. Of course, The Links isn't going to be comparable to home. I mean you are living on your own and you will have to follow several rules, but none of them are unreasonable. You're not allowed to have trash and other junk on your porch, but that makes the apartments look much nicer. Overall, I loved living at The Links and would highly recommend it.
