My husband and I lived at Church Lake for a little less than four years. We had a one bedroom unit on the first floor near the leasing office and car washing area. We enjoyed living there and moved because we had reached the point in our lives where it was time to buy a house. The office staff has always been friendly and helpful. Since our house search went better than expected, we had to break our lease. The staff was extremely helpful in making the transition, sticking to everything that was stated in our contract and was by far the easiest people to deal with in our whole house buying ordeal.

The maintenance staff was always helpful. The few issues we had were quickly resolved and were common wear-and-tear type problems. Our air conditioner had leaked water and soaked the carpet the Friday before our mothers were coming into town for Mother's Day. The maintenance staff came immediately, fixed the problem, and set up fans to dry the carpet.

We got a monthly newsletter with community events, and notices were passed out on occasion with other news such as reported thefts. We were aware of sporadic problems on the grounds involving thefts and a shooting, but crime in the area was never a serious issue, and we never felt unsafe. You can tell when school lets out because the noise level does go up a bit with kids being out for the summer and the long daylight hours, but we felt this was to be expected in a community with families living in close proximity.

We have two dogs and noticed that many of neighbors also had pets. We never had any problems related to our dogs. During our time there I can only remember seeing one or two dogs not on leashes, and we have seen the office staff actively checking to ensure that animals outdoors were properly restrained.

Parking was never a problem. Most of the people in our building parked in the same space on a regular basis.

Although we do not have children, we felt like the management did a good job of trying to build a feeling of community by offering special events at holidays. This past Christmas, the office staff wrapped gifts for tenants.

Overall, our time at Church Lake was great and we would recommend it to anyone.
