We agree that management here can be rude and sneaky; but a lot of times, they are also extremely helpful (at least for us). We've lived here longer than a year and plan to stay until we can purchase a house. It's quiet here and I haven't noticed any more crime here than you would get anywhere else. They took a bit longer than expected to clean the pool this summer, but it got cleaned before June. We have not had any problems getting repairs done. This apartment is a slice of heaven compared to our last renting experience. I agree that if one hates living here so much, they should move...you don't have to buy a house; try renting one, we did and it's the only time we have EVER terminated a lease early. Good luck.
