I totally agree with the previous review that this is the Southaven ghetto. I moved here from Memphis though, so it's not too bad to me. The apartments are tiny, ours is 2 bedrooms with less than 900 square feet, but laid out well with nice size bedrooms, a pantry, and outside storage. We moved here the day we had to leave our other apartment. Oak Ridge was at the very bottom of my list of apartments I wanted to live in, but we were able to sign a lease the same day and the rent was cheap- $610 a month with $250 deposit, $25 application fee.
There were several units available so we got our pick. We are in the VERY back. When we look out or window, we see bushes and a powerline, with some houses behind. We were very smart to pick this unit, b/c it is so quiet back here. I only see one or two people walking their dogs, and the only other time I ever see anyone is in passing at the parking lot.
Overall, I wouldn't necessarily reccomend this to a friend, b/c they might not get lucky like we did. Any other unit would have been terrible. I can only imagine the noise and ppl hanging out especially at night. But we're enjoying our apartment, especially since we're saving money.
