I read the review by a resident who is building a home and it's a shame they feel the need to degrade such a beautiful new property who has an outstanding management team. I have lived at Cranbrook almost from the begining (which is 3 years now) and also moved from up North and relocated to Asheville, NC after spending a few hot, muggy months in Florida. My apartment is also on the ground floor and yes, while it is true that you hear people walking from time to time, I didn't expect anything different- IT'S NOT A HOUSE!! I have made many friends here and they even have a dog park for pups to play in. I love my gas stove, the tall windows that let all of the sun in and the walking trails that border the property. There is a grocery store across the street, a library and schools close by, movie theatres and shopping, a new target and best buy one exit up as well as the farmer's market-it's a great location. The maintenance staff always responds within 24 hrs. to whatever I need. They are friendly and helpful and are nothing less than professional. And as for "lip-service" by the office staff- that is ABSOLUTELY NOT true. They are so caring, friendly and responsive and have always attended to my needs in a fair and quick manner. In fact, I looked at about every community including The Forest and Northview and found that the Cranbrook staff made me feel the most welcome and at home immediately. I feel the need to defend such a wonderful place because everyone I talk to who lives here feels the same way and it's a shame that one person feels the need to say such horrible, untrue things about this beautiful community and it's staff. People who sound off like that in such a discreet manner usually don't have the guts to say it to anyone's face. Don't believe a word of it!! Come and see for yourself-you'll love living here whether short or long term- I know I do- and trust me- it beats those Florida hurricanes and snowy Northern winters!!
