I have had some pretty hard times trying to live in the Asheville area and working. Most of the jobs here are not well paying jobs, but everything is really expensive, even the grocery stores. After looking at many different apartments in this area, this is the best location and the safest location you can find. There is no question. I have driven through poverty stricken neighborhoods to look at homes ranging from 200000 and up. I used to think the rent was just way too high here, but it really is worth the area and the amount of safety that you feel. Without the help and understanding of the office I would not have been able to continue my life here, and for that I am very thankful. That is the kind of service you get for paying 100-150 dollars more in rent. Trust me, when you see what 650 gets you in this town, you'll understand why. As a reminder, try to live in South Asheville.....you probobly dont want to live anywhere else around here.
