The noise level in this apt is the worst. You actually hear your neighbors when they walk across the room; should that be happening' Conversations are not private either.
The apt location is not so good because with a fire station, major freeway and airport nearby there is SO MUCH NOISE. With the sirons blasting everyday, freeway/trucking noises and incoming planes, headphones have to be worn to hear the TV. Really. This is bad.
The power plant across the street is loud when the towers are being scrubbed, or something. I don't know what they are actually doing over there, but it is REALLY loud. Also, the NAUSEOUS SULFUR FUMES from the power plant have actually gotten into the apt with all the windows closed. Yuck!
I have had mice in this apt, but mgt did fix the entry area after 2 calls. To be fair, maintenance does respond quickly to urgent calls when you have no hot water or heat. They do fix things in a timely manner.
You can smell your neighbor's cooking. And believe me, it is not always a pleasant aroma. Should you be able to smell your neighbor's cooking' Not so good. Management said it was normal to smell your neighbor. Ugh.
Well, I have had enough and I'm breaking my lease to live in a better place. For this money, I should have a little peace and quiet some of the time. That's reasonable.
If you are extremely tolerant, then move in. If not, your money would be better spent elsewhere.
Good Luck.

The noises and smell from the power plant are valid. Some mornings it makes me feel like gagging when I step out and the cleaning noise has got to be illegal considering the time of night it occurs! And, yes, on the ground floor you listen to the upstairs plumbing, tromping up and down the stairs and engines revving (horn honking too) and full voice conversions out your bedroom at all hours of the night. Maybe the respondents lived on the upper floor and don't have to listen to themselves, or anyone else.
