We live here from June of 2003 to July of 2004. The leasing managers were both great while we were there. The second one was the best although I can't recall her name. The apts were nice. The maintenence guys were great at the time. Hell even the postman was very friendly. The only issues we had were with this fat ass --- guy that lived upstairs from us and had to have the cops called on him twice for threatening us when we asked him to nit make so much noise. He was so volatile that he beat on our door so hard it was moving 1/2 an inch with each time he beat on it trying to get us to answer the door. We called the cops and they handled him. We made some friends while we were there and they moved down the hill to the houses.

They have gone through more than 2 managers at Eastwood. In fact, in Hickory at Mosteller Mansion apartments that Harry Pilos built there (he lives there now) one of his managers named Becky and then Bo came from Eastwood to Mosteller summer 2006 and are now gone. So are several other managers. Don the maintenance man from Eastwood also came to Hickory after Harry fired the best maintenance lady you could ever meet (P.M.), and after a month, Don finally quit Harry after like 4 1/2 years saying he could not take anymore working for him and moved back to Asheville "for love". Don was weird but very likeable fellow. People are upset at Mosteller too with the many management changes and the owner (Harry Pilos) not caring about his tenants which really does not bode well for someone who got tax and incentive breaks from Asheville City and now Hickory City to allow him to build humanitarian developments in the areas; but his true nature has come out more than once to many who rent from him and worked for him. NOBODY deserves to be treated like an animal from a person who claims to be a humanitarian for the betterment of local people. |
